PacPrint 09 Attendees Get First Look at Prism’s WIN 2009 MIS
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, July 22, 2009 - Over 18,000 people visited PacPrint 2009 to see the latest production and technology offerings in the graphic arts industry. Prism did not disappoint the crowds with its largest presence in recent years. Prism introduced its newest management information system, WIN 2009, with a new job planning module using Metrix, intelligent job ganging, and enhanced business metrics through consoles, dashboards and advanced reporting.
Existing customers and new spent valuable time learning about Prism’s latest offerings and were not disappointed with what they saw. A Prism customer of 6 months, Immij, purchased Prism WIN at the show for an additional plant after the successful implementation of their first WIN system.
Some of the largest printers in Australia visited the Prism stand including Hannanprint, McPherson Print Group, Blue Star Print Group, Geon and Finsbury Green to name a few. These companies have been Prism WIN users for years and, along with many other Prism customers, were instrumental in defining the features of WIN 2009. The business consoles and Key Production Indicator (KPI) dashboards were developed with the input and testing of Prism’s largest customers.
“McPherson has been using Prism WIN for many years,” stated Mark Campbell, Strategic Projects Manager at McPherson Print Group. “I’m excited to see the latest developments in WIN 2009, especially the KPI dashboards. These are metrics that we use to measure our performance every day. Having them readily available at our fingertips and customized by user is valuable to us.”
“Prism is a leader in Australia in MIS market share,” said Filip Buyse, Prism’s President and CEO. “We maintain that lead through continuous innovation. And WIN 2009 represents an innovative leap for our existing customers plus our prospective customers see a positive gap between WIN 2009 and other systems they have looked at here at the show.”
Prism specialists were busy throughout the show demonstrating these innovations to show attendees. WIN 2009 fully integrates Metrix into its estimating and job planning modules to give fully automated layout optimization capabilities. In addition, WIN 2009’s new job ganging capabilities work hand in hand with Metrix to optimize ganged layouts through one-click automation.
