Roto Smeets commits to further investment in QTMS iQ
Prism is happy to announce that the Netherlands based Roto Smeets De Boer Group (RSDB), the largest independent gravure and offset print group in Europe, is now a confirmed iQ QTMS system user.
In 1989, QTMS sold their first system to the De Boer Diepdruk facility in Almere. QTMS followed this by winning an order from Roto Smeets Etten-Leur, who quickly realised the unique advantages the system gave them by providing control of data to drastically reduce waste and increase performance.
In the early 90’s, this successful partnership developed further when RSDB asked QTMS to supply and install systems across the Group. The relationship soon became symbiotic, with RSDB staff being especially adept in helping QTMS develop several features within the system, which have been universally accepted around the world.
The close relationship with Prism, built up over the years, led to the recent decision to commit to the new QTMS iQ modules being rolled out across the existing 7 sites. With full iQ web, bindery and group-wide Pallet and Insert Tracking this represents a big commitment for the group, but one which RSDB is confident is the way to move forward.
Eric Bruggemann, RSDB Group Purchasing Manager, comments:
“QTMS has always been, and remains, an integral and critical part of our day-to-day and long-term product-registration and monitoring within our Group. The systems have been developed in consultation with our own people and QTMS staff, who have the benefit of experience and excellent knowledge of business procedures and targets. The reliability and accuracy of the system has allowed us to concentrate on major projects without worrying about accurate data being supplied to our other business systems. Another benefit is that our operators have found it easy to use whilst offering accurate and timely information.”
Said David Sparling, QTMS Technical Director. “Working with RSDB personnel has always been a pleasure, as well as being of assistance to our own system development. Prism now looks forward to many more years of working with the Group; our next target being the implementation of QTMS into more enterprises as the group expands.”
